A great alternative to a cold, wet run outdoors for the serious athlete would be to stay dry and train inside with the Sole TT8. I would be happy to jump on the Sole TT8 at my local gym. With the Sole TT8’s wide deck, big motor, and excellent build quality, this is as close to commercial quality as Sole gets. For under $2,500 the Sole TT8 is not cheap, but at that price knocks the spots off many far more expensive big name brands. Comparable treadmills from the likes of Precor and Vision have smaller motors and decks and little appreciable difference in build and component quality, selling for well over $1,000 more. The extra wide 22” belt is a feature that marks the Sole TT8 out from the rest of the Sole non-folding treadmills. This feature is rather uncommon in treadmills at this price, and one sure to appeal to runners looking for plenty of room on which to spread out. The belt that's 60" x 22" needs a motor with enough grunt to move it without overly straining and the powerful 3.5 HP motor, which is as powerful as you'll get for under $3,000 copes easily. The Sole TT8 is capable of 12mph and with a 15% incline; the essential ingredients of an intense and demanding workout are all there. It's also very stable, and I found running on it a very similar experience to the $7,000 Life Fitness treadmill at my local gym. The Sole TT8 weighing in at 300lbs that shouldn't really be a surprise! That's heavy and will make moving it around your house a chore for home users, but find it a permanent spot and you'll feel like you're at Gold's! Common to most of the Sole range, which is very joint friendly without being in any way spongy underfoot, the Sole TT8 has the responsive Cushion Flex Whisper Deck. Also, the oversized 3" rollers smooth out the travel of the belt and minimize friction and tension, which should help to prolong the life of the belt. This is a well equipped machine and the Sole TT8 treadmill offers the expected features for this price range which include;10 training programs, speed and incline controls on the arms, a clear and user friendly tri-color console display with message window, a wireless heart rate monitor and heart rate control. In addition to all that, there are the generous warranties - 30 years on the motor, lifetime warranties on the deck and frame, a five year warranty on the parts and a two year labor warranty. At the sale price and with all the features, the Sole TT8 treadmill is practically impossible to compare to any other. The Sole TT8 non-folding treadmill is for the serious runner looking for a near commercial quality home treadmill at a good home price.
