Fit Over 40 is a 304-page ebook that was written by Jon Benson (TLP, NFC)
and Tom Venuto (CSCS, CPT). Jon Benson is the primary author who spent over
a year of his life putting this book together. While it's geared for those
over 40, you can get something from this book no matter how old you are. I'm
33 and I found the information in this book incredibly useful. Fit Over 40
has decades worth of knowledge from several fitness "role models," which is
the cornerstone of Jon's program. There are some “genetic mutants”, as Jon calls them, who never had much
of a problem with body fat, and there are others who were more than 100
pounds overweight! The one thing all of these role models have in common is
that they do amazing things with their "new lean bodies" - at an age when
most people want to settle down, play golf, or retire. Not these role models
- no way! Tom Venuto concludes the book with 100 pages on training tips, nutrition, recovery, mental strategies, success patterns of the fit over 40 crowd, and more. aren't many cons to this program. The only con I can see (and I don't even
consider this a con) is that there is no “1-2-3 plan to fitness.” You have
53 plans to choose from, and even more if you consider the fact that you can
take a little from each role model and create your own fitness plan! This
really separates Fit Over 40 from any book out there, and most people find
